Don’t forget as well, it’s not all about the ‘essentials’, we want you to have fun too! So we’ve added in a few must do activities into the builder for you too. Our Arrival package builder will take about 5 minutes to complete and will give you a price once complete. Our team will then be in touch within 72 hours to discuss your plans.

BANK ACCOUNT SETUP

If you’re planning on working in the land down under then you’ll need an Aussie bank account to get paid. Take the stress out of choosing the right bank for you, and opt to let us help you choose! Our recommended bank in Australia is Commonwealth Bank as one of the largest banks here and handy access to your account via their mobile app.

We’ll send you a handy link for you to activate an account with them, which means when you arrive in Australia, all you have to do is head to your local branch and collect your card, easy!

TAX FILE ORGANISATION

For everybody wanting to work in Australia, you’ll need a Tax File Number (TFN) to ensure you are paying the correct tax. This can only be applied for once you are in Australia. So instead of worrying about your TFN when you arrive, let us do it for you, so you can land and start exploring Australia straight away!

We will also provide you with Tax reminders and information where necessary while you Work and Travel Australia.

AUSTRALIAN PHONE SET UP

Now having an Australian SIM card is handy for many reasons; great data packages, great signal available in Australia’s major hubs, great for keeping in contact with those in Australia and internationally as well, and very useful when applying for jobs. Any potential employer won’t be calling an international number to offer someone a role! JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE

Access to a membership on Travellers at Work is highly recommended. Get access to jobs listed Australia-wide that are aimed for backpackers only that you can apply for online. Plus, there is heaps of useful information at your fingertips to help you write the perfect resume, hone down your interview skills and advice on how to go about finding regional work. If you sign up for this essential you’ll be provided with your own log in to the website which will be valid for 12 months from the date you arrive in Australia, plus you’ll be able to reach out to our team for support as well!

ARRIVAL HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION

When you arrive in a new country you’ll want to be able to head to your accommodation with no worries. Guarantee yourself a place to rest and use as a base for the first few days to get your bearings. We give you the option to select how long you would like to stay and your style, then you can leave the rest up to us.

We’ll get you all booked into one of our reliable accommodation partners. We hand select these properties as we know they offer a great customer experience, especially for those just arriving in Australia.

MAIL HOLDING SERVICE

Take the worry out of where your mail is going to go while you Work and Travel Australia and add our Mail Holding Service to your arrival. This means you can put the Ultimate HQ office as your postal address, and once your mail arrives we’ll notify you and keep it safe until you can collect it or we forward it onto you.

Depending on how long you plan on being in Australia, we have 1 month, 6 month or 12 month options, with the opportunity to extend if required.
