This Adventure is operated by our ground partners in the Philippines. Go Island hopping, snorkel in amazing reefs, party on hidden islands, discover paradise at our Beach Camp, climb coconut trees, go kayaking, explore the famous Iwahig prison, try Filipino food, explore Manila and more on this 10 day/9 night itinerary.

The most popular travel season for the Philippines is during summer, which is between March and June. This is the best time to hit the beach for a swim because of the hot and sunny weather. If you want to visit the country during the cooler months, book your travel between November and February.

You are free to arrive in at any time on your first day. Your airport transfer from Manilla airport to We stay at the Z-hostel in Makati is included. You must provide us with your arrival date, time and flight number to help us organise your airport transfer. Before the tour, make sure you have the necessary travel insurance and Visa to travel to Philippines.

HOW TO BOOK

To book, select your chosen departure date and select if you require additional nights. Once you are booked, we will send you a booking confirmation as well as important information about your tour.

Your arrival flight should be booked to Manilla Airport.

Tour ends on Day 10. You can book your exit/onward flight from in El Nido or you can travel with the remaining group back to Puerto Princesa where the trip ends. You should book your flight from Puerto Princesa to any destination in the Philippines on Day 10 of the tour any time after 3pm. Please note: The journey from El Nido to Puerto Princesa takes 6 hours.

DAY 1 WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES

Airport Transfer
Arrive at the airport where you’ll be picked up and taken to our boutique hostel in central Manila.

Welcome Dinner
Get settled into your accommodation before meeting the rest of your group at our welcome dinner. After dinner, enjoy a few drinks on the rooftop terrace and check out some of our favourite Manila nightlife spots!

DAY 2 PUERTO PRINCESA

Fly to Puerto Princesa
It’s time to explore Palawan! This morning, we’ll take a short flight to Puerto Princesa where we’ll get checked into our boutique hotel and chill by the pool for a while.

Iwahig Prison
We’ll spend the afternoon visiting the Iwahig Prison, one of the world’s largest open prisons where inmates govern themselves and learn new skills – truly an interesting experience! In the evening, we’ll try some Filipino street food by the water. Feeling brave? Try ‘Balut’ a Filipino delicacy!

DAY 3 PORT BARTON

Underground River
After an early start and a bit of breakfast, we head out to the UNESCO listed Underground River. We’ll explore the 5-miles of rivers and caves by boat before driving to the beautiful fishing village, Port Barton.

Island Vibes
It’s time to crack open the coconuts and chill on the golden sand listening to some reggae – island style! We’ll spend the night here, sleeping in traditional Filipino style bungalows right on the beach!

DAY 4 – 5 PRIVATE BEACH CAMP

Island Life
The next two days are all about experiencing the local island way of life! After breakfast we will join our local guides to explore the islands and surrounding area of Port Barton by boat. We’ll fish, snorkel coral reefs, explore tiny islands, shower in jungle waterfalls and discover the Starfish Fields.

Beach Camp
In the evening we’ll get together around the fire by our very own little beach bar to watch the sunset (this area is famous for some amazing ones!) before tucking into a feast of grilled fish, pork, rice, veggies & fruit, prepared by our local guides! Tonight, you’ll be sleeping right on the beach in a tent, waking up in paradise!

DAY 6 EL NIDO BOUND

Paradise & Beach Bars
Enjoy breakfast in our beautiful surroundings before heading to our stunning secret paradise, El Nido. You’ll see why Palawan was named the most beautiful island group in the world!

We’ll check in to our funky (and exclusive) hostel, then we’ll head out to one of our favourite beach bars for an evening of food, reggae and fun with your new travel family!

DAY 7 ISLAND HOPPING

Island Hopping Adventure
Today, we’ll set sail on the most infamous boat in El Nido stopping off to jump into emerald waters for a spot of snorkelling and kayaking. The onboard crew will take care of all your food and drinks for the day so spend the day sipping on cocktails and beers, playing in the water and taking in the amazing views! We’ll head back to El Nido for the night, watching the sunset as we cruise back.

DAY 8 EL NIDO TOWN

Beach, Chill & Massage time!
Today, we’ll discover El Nido town, taking a short trek and canopy walk up to the famous cliffs overlooking the incredible bay and Cadlao Island. Next it’s time to chill-out with a traditional Filipino massage near the beach. Explore the town, meet the locals and r-e-l-a-x!

DAY 9 CULTURE AND ADVENTURE

Markets & Adventure
You can’t come to the Philippines without visiting a local market! This morning, we’ll do exactly that, travelling there on a tricycle to learn about the types of fresh seafood and local produce on offer. Afterwards, we’ll take a short jungle hike before arriving at our exclusive beach hut ready for an action packed day.

We have activities ranging from cooking Filipino food, climbing coconut trees, coconut leaf weaving, fishing and learning Filipino dances. This evening you’ll have the option to take the zip line – an exhilarating experience where you fly between two islands over the ocean! We’ll spend the rest of the evening lounging on the stunning Las Cabanas Beach to take in the sunset!

DAY 10 FAREWELL

Goodbye for now!
It’s time to say goodbye for now! You can choose to fly back to Manila from a small airport in El Nido, or join us in our minivan back to Puerto Princesa (where flights are usually cheaper!) where our trip comes to an end after an amazing 10 days in paradise!

The Philippines Adventure tour starts in Manilla and ends in El Nido or Puerto Princesa.

On Day 10, you can choose to fly from El NIdo or take a shuttle back to Puerto Princesa. If you go back to Puerto then you will usually get back at approx 1pm, so you should book your onward flight after 3pm.

WHO WILL I BE TRAVELLING WITH?

Whether you’re travelling solo or with a mate, you’ll meet like-minded travellers from all over the world. Group sizes vary with each tour however we like to keep things fun yet personal so you’ll be travelling with no more than 30 others.

DO I NEED VACCINATIONS?

We recommend making an appointment with your GP to discuss which vaccinations will be needed for your trip.

The Hepatitis A vaccine is strongly recommended. Rabies pre-exposure vaccination may be an option, but not essential.

Malaria isn’t common in the areas we visit, but stock up on bug spray as there are other diseases such as Dengue that are more common.

We recommend organising all vaccines at least 4-6 weeks before your trip to the Philippines.

CAN I BOOK EXTRA NIGHTS?

Yes! Additional nights accommodation can be booked prior to Day 1 of the tour. These nights would be paid in cash on arrival. Get in touch to chat with a member of the crew before or after you book to discuss your additional nights.
